What I would like to see again: resetting with the controller buttons. Maybe it is a weird concept, but I think the controller reset is something that gets forgotten sometimes. My best recollection of this function is the one we know from the Game Boy. It was Start+Select+A+B.
It way seem like a useless function now, but let us imagine the following situation with another old console which lacked this feature: the Super Nintendo. I am trying to play Donkey Kong Country, when I accidentally choose the wrong save file. Thus I decide I need to reset the game… and I have to stand up again to reach for the switch on the machine.
I know the Game Boy had the function because it lacked a reset button, since it had to be designed as compact as possible. But consoles with that function. Nowadays we move through the menus to reset a game, but it would be great to be able to do a quick reset instead of entering a great barrage of loading menus and all.
Well, at least that is something I miss.
May they smile upon your way!
